The Alegre All Stars

Best of (Nos Vamos Pa' La Luna)

2LP Comp Vampi Soul Spain 2005

sing don't speak / hi, hi, hi

SG Variety|RiFi Italy 1973

brain melter fuzz glam rocker. Misterious piece of wax, insanely rare and pressed in Italy, by a totally unknown band. Two covers here, Blackfoot Sue's Sing Don't Speak with maximum fuzz, and Wings' Hi, Hi, Hi. No info at all about this record except that Sing Don't Speak was also released in Argentina under the Badge monicker with different B side. If you ask me I'd say this a UK studio group covering hit songs, perfect english vocals, no trace of italian accent. The 'Beatt Production' line on the label gives a hint as there were many cheap productions and all-hits comps released stating it too, similar to the the Top of the Pops compilations. Only this time they pushed the fuzz pedal to the floor!
